Gig Review
November 28th, 1996 - Club Paradise In New Westminster, BC
It was an intimate little gathering of about me and eleven other people. As Chaz joked "I love playing to twelve of my closest friends." The low population in the New Westminster club didn't stop them from playing all of their upbeat tunes. No surprises or glaring omissions in the set list except for a new song that I'm presuming is going to be on the upcoming album. The song is called 'Shame on You' and has a very simple and somewhat catchy chorus, but aren't all rebels songs like that.
Overall, not a bad set considering the number of people in the club. I mean, how hyped can you get on stage with only a dozen people cheering you on. A treat for the night was Pogo Au Gogo aka Chris Houston making a (sort of) surprise visit to play the encore song Surfin' On Heroin. I don't know why but he seemed to look at the bass in his hands like it was something he had never seen before, but after a slow start he got into the song and thus ended the 'private' concert.
