Forgotten Rebels - The Pride & The Disgrace (CD)

Other Peoples Music, P.O. Box 227, Postal Station P, Toronto Ontario, M5S 2S7, CANADA.

1996 has been a great year for fans of the Forgotten Rebels. Star Records has already re-issued the Rebels' 1980 debut album "In Love With The System", and now OPM has re-issued their third full-length, originally done in 1986. It's not my favourite Rebels record, but it contains classic Canadian punk songs like: Surfin' on Heroin, Live Strippers in Action, (I'm In Love With Your) Underwear, and Ethiopia. As a bonus, you get two hidden tracks: Bomb Kadhafi, and Do You Wanna Fuck Me? As you might have already guessed, the Forgotten Rebels have a non-PC, sarcastic, humorous, straightforward glam-punk sound. The quality of this CD is better than the original LP too, because it has been remixed by Chris Spedding, and the drums have been redone. Great CD! Get this one, right after you buy "In Love With The System". ....and pay attention for the upcoming re-issue of "Tomorrow Belongs to Us" (1979) and probably a new album too.
